Every great journey starts with a first step. For us, that step was an idea: that planning a trip should be easy, inspiring and safe – and that the best tips come from fellow travellers.
We’ve only just begun our adventure. Travel Outenza is already available in the App Store, and we’re putting the finishing touches on the Google Play version. But an app can never be better than the people who use it. That’s why we need more people who want to test, develop and share the joy of travel with us.

Travel Outenza is a Norwegian travel planner that brings tickets, hotels and travel plans together in one place. The app was founded by Tomas Eskeland. It began as a tool for his own two-week trip to Japan, with stops in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka. Read the full story in From a trip to Japan to a travel app.
With Travel Outenza, you can:
create a day-by-day itinerary with flights, hotels and activities on a single timeline.
extract information from PDFs and other travel documents.
collect all your saved places on one map, sorted by city, category and day.
get directions in Google Maps with a single tap.
keep hotel addresses, emergency numbers and embassy contact details together.
plan with travel companions and share your itinerary with others.
All new accounts get one trip for free (as of October 2026). An additional trip costs 19 USD, while full access with unlimited trips costs 59 USD as a one-time payment, according to Travel Outenza’s pricing page.
The most important thing we’re doing right now is getting even more people to download the app and create their own trips. Every trip planned in Travel Outenza makes the app a little smarter and a little more useful – for everyone.
In the app, you can also review experiences you’ve had along the way. The hidden beach, the local restaurant, the hike worth every metre of elevation – or the attraction you could have skipped. Your experiences help others see what’s really worth discovering.
